Server Armour Plugin Installation Guide

You can download the Server Armour plugin from any of the following sources:

Installation Instructions

For Oxide (uMod):

  1. Verify Oxide Installation: Ensure Oxide is installed on your server. If not, download it from uMod.org and follow their installation instructions for Rust.

  2. Download the Plugin: Download the ServerArmour.cs file from one of the links above.

  3. Place the Plugin File: Move the ServerArmour.cs file into the oxide/plugins directory of your Rust server installation.

  4. Load the Plugin: Restart your server or use the Oxide console command o.reload ServerArmour to load the plugin without restarting.

For Carbon:

  1. Verify Carbon Installation: Make sure Carbon is installed on your server. If not, download it from Carbon's website and follow their setup guide.

  2. Download the Plugin: Download the ServerArmour.cs file from one of the provided links.

  3. Place the Plugin File: Transfer the ServerArmour.cs file to the carbon/plugins folder on your server.

  4. Activate the Plugin: To activate, either restart your server or execute c.reload ServerArmour in your server console.

Post-Installation Steps

  • Configure the Plugin: After installation, you may need to adjust the plugin settings based on your server's needs. Configuration files are typically located in the oxide/config or carbon/config directories. The default settings generally suffice for most setups.

  • Check for Errors: Monitor the server console for any errors upon startup or reload to ensure the plugin functions correctly. Ensure the plugin version is compatible with your server’s Oxide/Carbon version.

Acquiring Your Server Key

  1. Access the Website: Log into your Steam account at Server Armour.

  2. Navigate to My Servers: Go to the My Servers page.

  3. Add Your Server: Click on "ADD SERVER."

  4. Enter Server Details: Fill in your server's details. If you encounter errors, ensure the following:

  • Oxide-specific RCON is disabled. Disable Guide
  • Your password does not contain special characters.
    • Note: Reboot your server every time you change the password.
  • Check firewall settings to ensure proper connectivity.

Server Details

  1. Retrieve Your Server Key: Your server will now be listed with a "Server Key." Click on the eye icon to reveal and copy the key to your clipboard.

  2. Configure Your Server: Paste the copied Server Key into the ServerArmour configuration file on your server. This will usually be located in the same directory as the plugin files (oxide/config for Oxide and carbon/config for Carbon). Save the changes, then reload the plugin again to activate the plugin features with your server.
